ICF Announces Credentialing Program Upgrades
September 10, 2014

ICF has revised some requirements for an ICF Credential in order to enhance the quality, value and rigor of the credentialing program.

Effective September 10, 2014, ICF is offering a new Professional Certified Coach (PCC) application path. Individuals who complete at least 125 hours of coach-specific training via an Approved Coach Specific Training Hours (ACSTH) program(s) or part of an Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP) may now apply via the new PCC ACSTH path. This will yield a more streamlined application process for candidates who complete their training through an ACTP or ACSTH program.

Effective November 1, 2014, ICF will implement two additional changes:

Increased documentation requirements for training completed with a non-ACSTH or non-ACTP provider submitted via the Associate Certified Coach (ACC), Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and Master Certified Coach (MCC) portfolio paths.
A $100 USD price increase for ACC and PCC portfolio applications.
To help ensure the continued integrity of the MCC application process, ICF also reminds MCC applicants that they must complete at least 10 hours of Mentor Coaching from a coach who holds a valid MCC Credential at the time coaching is taking place.

Coaches with questions about upgrades to the credentialing program can contact ICF Credentialing and Program Assistant Mickey Gustafson at mickey.gustafson@coachfederation.org for assistance.
